How we make money

If a service is free, you should ask who's paying for it and what they're getting. Fair question. Here's the whole answer.

The model in one paragraph

Contractors pay us for confirmed appointments. When we qualify your project, match you with pros you approve, and get a real date and time on a contractor's calendar, that contractor pays us a fee for the appointment. That's the entire business. Homeowners never pay anything, and we don't take a commission on your project.

The fee is for the appointment itself — it doesn't depend on whether you hire them. That detail matters more than it sounds: it means nobody in this arrangement has a financial reason to pressure you. The contractor earns your business or doesn't, on the merits of what they put together for you.

Why this beats the lead-selling model

Most lead-selling sites make money differently: they sell your contact information as a lead — often to four or five companies at once, sometimes reselling it again after that. Once your data is sold, they're paid. What happens to your phone for the next three weeks isn't their problem.

Our incentives run the other way. We only get paid when an appointment is actually confirmed — which means we need your project qualified accurately, matched to the right specialists, and scheduled at a time that works for you. If the appointment isn't real, nobody pays us. Quality isn't a slogan in this model; it's the invoice.

And because you choose whether to meet one pro or compare a few, your information only ever reaches the pros you're actually scheduled to meet. Not a lead list. Not "participating partners." The people whose names are on your calendar, and no one else.
