The Project Desk
These terms govern SMS and text messages sent by The Project Desk, a brand operated by Bedrock Growth Systems LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). They summarize the SMS provisions in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service; if there is any conflict, those documents control.
Our SMS program
The Project Desk operates SMS messaging for two distinct audiences: homeowners requesting help with a home improvement project, and home-service businesses participating in one of our contractor programs. Each category below has its own consent, and consent to one category is never a condition of any other.
Homeowner messaging
- Informational & Transactional Messages: By checking the SMS consent checkbox on our form, you agree to receive automated informational and transactional text messages from Bedrock Growth Systems LLC DBA The Project Desk and the specific service provider(s) matched to your request. These messages include estimate request confirmations, appointment scheduling and coordination, follow-up communications regarding your request, opt-in notifications, and service updates related to your project.
- Marketing & Promotional Messages: If you separately check the marketing consent checkbox on our form, you also agree to receive automated marketing and promotional text messages from The Project Desk, which may include special offers, seasonal service reminders, and information about additional home improvement services. Marketing messages are sent only by The Project Desk; contractors participating in your request are authorized to contact you only regarding your request and related services. Consent to receive marketing messages is separate from, and not required for, informational and transactional messaging or any other service.
Business & contractor program messaging
If you represent a home-service business and enroll in, or request information about, one of our contractor programs, you may separately consent to receive non-marketing operational text messages about that program. These are sent by The Project Desk only. They are not sent by contractors, and they are not related to any homeowner project of your own.
- Referral Partner Network: Messages about your enrollment and approval status, referrals you submit, referral status and confirmations, reward and payout notifications, account and compliance notices, and other operational messages about your participation.
- Contractor Network (receiving appointments): Messages about your request to participate, appointment scheduling and coordination, account administration, billing, and other contractor-network operations.
Consent to business and contractor program messaging is optional. It is not required to enroll in the Referral Partner Network, to request a demo, to receive appointments, or to receive any other service. Marketing and promotional text messages are not sent under this category; any marketing SMS to a business contact requires its own separate consent.
You must be 18 years of age or older to participate in any of these SMS programs.
How you opt in
You opt in by submitting a form on our website (or a related landing page operated by us) and affirmatively checking the applicable consent box. Consent boxes are never pre-checked, and the full consent language is shown at the time of submission.
By submitting a form with a consent box checked, you confirm that:
- The phone number provided belongs to you or you have permission to provide it
- For homeowner messaging: you agree to receive calls and text messages from The Project Desk and the specific service provider(s) matched to your request, regarding your project request
- For business and contractor program messaging: you agree to receive non-marketing operational text messages from The Project Desk regarding your company's participation in the applicable program
- You understand that consent is not a condition of any purchase or of participation
- You understand that message and data rates may apply
Message frequency
Homeowner messaging. Frequency varies based on your interaction with our services and contractors. Most homeowners receive a small number of messages in connection with a single project request — typically over a 1–2 week period from form submission through appointment completion.
Business and contractor program messaging. Frequency varies and is ongoing for as long as your company participates in the applicable program. Messages are sent as program events occur — for example when a referral is received or placed, when a reward is paid, when an appointment is scheduled, or when account or billing action is needed — rather than on a fixed schedule or over a fixed period.
SMS specific terms
- Opt-Out: You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Replying STOP will unsubscribe you from all text messages sent by The Project Desk, including both informational/transactional and marketing messages. After you send STOP we will send one final SMS to confirm you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive SMS messages from The Project Desk unless you subsequently opt in again or otherwise provide new legally sufficient SMS consent.
- Assistance: Reply HELP to any message or contact us at info@theprojectdesk.com for assistance.
- Rates & Frequency: Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your interaction with our services and contractors.
- No Condition of Service: Consent to receive automated text messages, calls, or emails is not a condition of purchase or receiving an estimate.
- Carrier Liability: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Age Requirement: You must be 18 years of age or older to use this SMS service.
Messages from a matched contractor
This section concerns messages a homeowner receives from a contractor, and is separate from the business and contractor program messaging described above.
Once a contractor is matched to participate in your request, they are responsible for their own communications and compliance with applicable laws. A STOP reply sent to a contractor applies only to that contractor's messages. To stop receiving messages from The Project Desk specifically, reply STOP to any message from our number.
Carrier compliance
The Project Desk operates SMS messaging in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Telemarketing Sales Rule, and applicable carrier policies including registered A2P 10DLC messaging. SMS opt-in data and consent records are stored securely and are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Message and data rates may apply. The Project Desk and Bedrock Growth Systems LLC are not responsible for delays or failed delivery of messages caused by wireless carriers, network conditions, or device limitations.
Privacy
Information collected as part of SMS messaging — including phone number, message content, and opt-in/opt-out status — is handled according to our Privacy Policy. Information about the contractors who may receive your request is described in our Partner List.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms periodically. The current version is always available at this URL. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
