The Project Desk connects homeowners with independent local contractors for home improvement and remodeling services.
When you submit a request through our website, your information may be shared with one or more of the following types of service providers, depending on your project needs and location:
- Home improvement and remodeling contractors
- General contractors
- Licensed subcontractors (such as electrical, plumbing, and related trades) working on your project
Due to the nature of our service and the ongoing addition and removal of contractors in our network, we provide a category-based partner list rather than listing individual companies. Any service providers who contact you will be limited to those whose services align with your specific project type and location.
These service providers are independent businesses and are not employees, agents, or representatives of The Project Desk or Bedrock Growth Systems LLC.
We may share your information with one or more service providers participating in your request so they can contact you regarding your project.
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent information will not be shared with any third parties except for the specific local contractors selected to participate in your request.
A note on "Referral Partner." The Project Desk separately operates a Referral Partner Network, through which a business may refer a homeowner project it does not handle. Referral Partners are not the same as the service providers described on this page. A Referral Partner does not receive homeowner information through that program, and receives it only if the same company is separately approved to receive appointments as a participating contractor.
How We Select Partners
The Project Desk matches homeowners with local service providers based on factors such as project type and location.
At onboarding, The Project Desk screens for business legitimacy, current general-liability insurance, relevant professional credentials, and project fit, and reviews public reputation. Contractors are contractually required to maintain the licenses, registrations, insurance, and permits applicable to the work they perform. Because licenses, insurance, and business conditions can change after verification, homeowners should independently reconfirm this information before signing a contract. The Project Desk does not guarantee contractor performance or project outcomes.
Homeowners are responsible for evaluating and selecting any contractor and should verify all relevant information directly with the service provider before entering into an agreement.

We may update or change the service providers we work with at any time without prior notice. The categories listed above represent the types of partners that may receive your information.
